My Top Beautycounter Picks

 Beautycounter, Dew Skin moisturizing coverage, Charcoal cleansing bar, Overnight resurfacing peel, Touchup skin concealer pen, Rejuvenating night cream, Nourishing cream exfoliator, Lip gloss in Dahlia, better beauty, non-toxic, Never List, SPF, jojoba beads, coconut oil, jambu extract, anti-aging

I’m in love with Beautycounter. I wanted to represent the company for two reasons. First, the products are exquisitely created and perform better than any other brand I’ve tried. Secondly, the entire line of cosmetics and skin care contains none of the 1,500 questionable or potentially harmful ingredients (Beautycounter’s “Never List”) that our government has yet to ban. The European Union has banned 1,400 to date while the United States has only excluded 30. Because our skin is our largest organ and absorbs everything on it, it’s imperative that what we put on our bodies is non-toxic. Below are my top favorites, although I could easily list several more.

1) Charcoal Cleansing Bar

Don’t be afraid of the black color. The Charcoal Cleansing Bar won’t stain washcloths and is a mild, gentle cleanser. Charcoal is highly detoxifying and absorbs impurities in your skin without drying it out. I use it daily and love the way my skin feels and looks after using cleansing with it.

2) Overnight Resurfacing Peel

The Overnight Resurfacing Peel has been a game-changer for my skin. I was a little leery to try it after having a bad experience with another brand’s peel. However, this couldn’t be more different. This is actually a “no-peel peel.” This product is a leave-on peel which you’ll put on dry, clean skin. A night cream can be applied afterwards. The formula is a combination of 15 botanically-derived acids which clear away dull surface skin cells, while soothing and nourishing to reveal a brighter, more youthful-looking complexion. I absolutely wake up with glowing skin. This can be used 2-3 times a week.

3) Touchup Skin Concealer Pen

After becoming a consultant, I didn’t try the Touchup Skin Concealer Pen right away because I’ve always been more of a foundation girl. However, after watching fellow consultants’ Instagram videos of their application of the concealer and the results obtained, I was sold. The New York Times Style Magazine recommended using this concealer to “bounce back and reflect light” on those stubborn dark circles. This does wonders for evening out any dark under-eye areas or redness. I suffer from rosacea, and this is the perfect spot treatment. (There are five shades, and I use “Light.”) You’ll apply it alone or on top of foundation. I feel it instantly makes me look more alive and refreshed.

4) Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage

Allure magazine named Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage a “Best of Beauty” award winner. I love this product because it doubles as a sun screen and a tinted moisturizer. It gives very sheer color coverage, so it’s not a foundation, but it provides enough SPF to prevent my face from burning while I’m at the playground with my sons. I apply it each morning after cleansing my face. It contains vitamin C to enhance skin brightness and sodium hyaluronate to promote firmer, smoother-looking skin. It comes in five different shades; I wear shade No. 2.

5) Rejuvenating Night Cream

Beautycounter’s Rejuvenating line is geared towards anti-aging. Its formulas feature jambu extract, which works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, firm, nourish skin, and provide antioxidant protection. I love the Rejuvenating Night Cream because it hydrates my skin and helps it look firmer. In fact, in an independent study, this cream was found to increase hydration in 100% of the women, and 81% of women showed a significant improvement in skin elasticity after eight hours. This line is so effective, and I’m a big fan of the eye cream and serum as well.

6) Nourishing Cream Exfoliator

The Nourishing Cream Exfoliator uses jojoba beads to gently exfoliate skin while cleansing. This is a perfect follow-up to the morning after using the Overnight Resurfacing Peel. The product contains organic coconut oil and aloe to help soothe and hydrate while you scrub.

7) Lip Gloss

I love to have glossy lips, but I detest the white residue that many glosses leave at the lipline. I do NOT have this problem with Beautycounter’s Lip Gloss. It is perfectly shiny without any stickiness. My go-to favorite color is Dahlia (shown above), but there are 13 to choose from. The gloss has a hint of vanilla flavor, too, which is delightful. If you like lip gloss, you’ll love Beautycounter’s selections.

+++++++
