Wearing PJS All Day
If you’re like me, in the winter sometimes you just don’t want to leave the house. This is both a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing to lounge in comfy, warm clothes and be with family. But being with family (especially little ones) for too long can wear you down, and cabin fever sets in. This is also a season of grinding, non-stop work for me, partially because I work from home, and when I don’t leave the house, I never leave work. Read below to see why I’m embracing staying in my PJs right now and doing LESS work.

I’ve been living in these PJs all winter for 2 reasons. 1️⃣ I love them (Soma is my favorite!), and they are comfy. 2️⃣ I’m straight up in a major funk. 〰️ I probably have a little case of seasonal affective disorder (SAD 😉), but I think I also became super overwhelmed with all the “stuff” on my plate that I kind of shut down. 〰️ Launching a podcast, doing the editing and recording, maintaining a blog and newsletter, trying to post consistently on social media...all while caring for two young boys and running a household. It’s too much! 〰️ Have you been there? 〰️ When I feel like this, I try to listen to my body because it sends me clear signals of how stress and emotions impact my physical well-being. My body is telling me to slow the heck down! 〰️ Lately, I’ve been reading more fiction, watching some trashy tv, snuggling with my kids and even watching cartoons, going to sleep early, sleeping in when I can, drinking a little wine, and posting less (because I’m soooo over trying to beat the instagram algorithms or post “x” number of times a week ...anyone else?? 🤣). 〰️ I’m short, when life gets you down...take care of YOU! I’m off to heed my own advice while my youngest son is having yet another tantrum. 🍷 Happy Friday! 〰️ What do you do when life overwhelms you?
