It all started when...
I knew I wanted to move away from sick care. As an RN, my job was rewarding, but it grew more and more difficult to work with people, with their families, knowing that with better information, better habits, better self-care, some of what they were going through could have been avoided.
So I left that life. I moved into the world of preventative medicine. I studied the foods, the supplements and the habits that can change a body, change a life. Then I wrote a book on it, because I knew the world needed to hear that things can be different. Many cancers can be avoided. Sickness can be evaded.
My dear friend Laurie (a health coach) and I also started A Whole New You Podcast to reach a larger audience to spread the word about nutrition, fitness, clean living, self-care, and emotional wellness. You can read more about us and about the mission of the podcast here.
